POEM: Sunrise on a Snowy Mountain

Deep blue to pale glimmers
Unto silver
Shadows nearer purple
Earth under snow
Sunrise yet to come

A pale golden streak
In the east
Touched with silver
Edges of clouds

It begins
Slowly,
with grace

Morning
Light

Shimmers

I
Watch

Blue land,
Fire opal sky
Evergreens laden

Snow
Bends trees
Deciduous sways low
Beside bowing pine

Cedar
Rich green
Silhouette dark
Against golden-rose
Fire lit scenery

Beautiful beyond belief
